Policies

At the Three Tuns Hotel we have a few policy statements to share but but always ask our customers and guests to ask if they are unsure or want help and guidance:

Hotel Disability Access Statement

Accessibility to the Building
All disabled guests and staff are to use the main side entrance in to the hotel or the front entrance into the public and lounge bars.
The main building includes the Public Bar, the same level toilets, the Lounge Bar, the restaurant and the cellar toilets.
There is no accommodation on the ground floor.
The main entrance to the hotel is off the main high street to the left side of the building and the ground is paved. There is a small step into the building of about 2cm. The main entrance into the bars is off the high street and has a step down into the building of about 4cm.

Accessibility within Main Building
There are no steps within the ground floor area of the public bar and through to the toilets. The floor surfaces throughout the public bar are exposed wooden flooring. The toilet corridor is through a door and has carpeting. There is plenty of space and moveable seating.

The Lounge bar and restaurant have no steps and the floor surfaces are short piled carpeting. The seating is moveable and mixed with and without arm rests. The hotel’s staff is made available to advise any persons that require assistance with the menus and they are printed in Verdana 12 , a bold print.

The toilets on the ground floor in the public bar can be accessed on the same level. The access for wheelchair users is limited as the building is grade 1 listed and door ways cannot be changed. The ladies toilet does have a hand rail.

The first floor has the 6 accommodation rooms. The stairs to the first floor are steep and winding. The corridors on all floors are provided with short pile carpets.

The en suite bathrooms are on the same level in each of the rooms. Room 1 has a bath only, room 2 and 6 have baths with showers over the bath. Room 4 has a walk in shower with a step up.

The shared bathroom for rooms 3 and 5 is on a lower level with 3 steps down into the bathroom.
